Dance Class! Six weeks beginning this Thursday, Jan 13 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm at the School.  Open to girls and boys in Grades 2-5.  This course will focus on the basics of dance and movement, drawing from both traditional and contemporary forms and will include a fun choreography.  $30 for 6-week course.  Scholarships available.  Students should dress appropriately in leggings, leotards, or other non-constrictive clothing. For more info, see or call Ms. Kalima 968-1296.  Students in Grades 6-8 interested in Dance should see Ms. Kalima.

REMINDER AGAIN:  Please do not leave your car unattended or parking in gaps during the after school traffic pick up at the MP room.  Parked cars stop the normal traffic flow endangering children who must walk to cars.

Fun with Ukulele class to begin another 5-week session beginning 1/18.  Times are after school Tuesdays, 2:15-3:00.  Cost is $35.00 for 5 weeks.  See you there.  Contact Karen Bender for details or questions.  896-0785

Facilities planning: As we work to acquire the school campus, restore the grounds and enclose the
lanais we are bumping up against the need to have both long-term and interim plans in place.

What should our school ultimately look like? What buildings and equipment and spaces are needed, how should the flow of activities and traffic be
coordinated, and what about the need for more parking? What about playgrounds, and a pre-school? Dare we mention High School? And in the short term, what are the most urgent needs, and how can they be met in ways that will build towards a long-term plan?

If you have any interest in helping the school with these issues, please come to the first long-term planning meeting on Thursday, January 20th, at
5:30 p.m. in Mr. L’s tent. If you have suggestions but can't make the meeting, drop a note for Ted at the office, or e-mail to pirsig@hawaii.rr.com.
