Naalehu parents:  We need some feedback here.  If it should happen that students are stuck at school because of the weather, how would you feel about them staying with a family in Volcano?  We will be notifying Volcano parents also and hooking you up with a specific family.  First though, we need your thoughts about this.  Please call Peggy or send a note in the Info Flo packet.

Dance News: The first session of Afterschool Dance Class was a success.  All the kids did a wonderful job!  The next 6-week session will begin next week Thursday, March 3rd, 2:30-3:30 pm.  Sign-up sheets will be included in next week’s InfoFlo.  Again, the cost is $30.00 for 6 weeks and scholarships will be available.

Hey Moms!  Looking for a great and super fun way to exercise close to home?  Try Bellydance, starting this Saturday from 12:30-1:30 at Laughing Stone (end of Jade).  Cost is $45 for 6 weeks.  $10 discount for Volcano School parents, volunteers, etc.  Call Kalima at 968-1296 for more info.
 
Friday, February 25th is Japanese Culture Day at Volcano School!  Volunteers will treat us to a full day of festival games and prizes.  Parents welcome to come check out the fun. Schedule is in the office.

RECYCLE UPDATE:  To facilitate delivery of cans and plastic bottles to VSAS, the collection container is now located under “The Clock” of the multipurpose building.  Parents can now drop off recyclables when they bring/pick up their children.  Thanks for taking up the challenge.  Nao.

Board Meeting:  The VSAS Board of Directors will meet Thursday, 5:30 to 7:30 pm. in Mr. Lawrence’s tent.  There will be a report on our new campus computer system, along with updates on facilities, budget and more.  All welcome.

Family Jam: Join a lively group of musicians this Friday evening 6-7 pm in the multipurpose room for family music-making and fun.  Bring an acoustic instrument or use ours.  This is the final family Jam even of this series.  No experience necessary.  Bring the family.  Info, call Dina at 967-8151.
