Dear Parents:  Aloha. We have been invited to be part of the Second Annual Ho’ike Mau a Mau, a performing arts festival, which is a partnership effort by Kamehameha Schools and the Ka’u/Kea’au/Pahoa area DOE Schools.  Five Charter Schools located in the Puna and Ka’u districts have been included.  Please mark your calendars for this exciting event!  It is to take place Saturday, April 30th from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.  The elementary school’s grade three, four, and five under the direction of Karen Bender and Kalima Cayir will be participating.  It will take place at the Kurtistown Kamehameha High School Campus.  The children have already begun rehearsing for this event.  It will be our biggest performance to date.  The children and myself are excited to be part of this community-building event.  There will be more details to come regarding exact times and bus transportation from Naalehu may be available.  Thank you, Ms. Bender.

Vision 2005-2006: Are you wondering what’s coming up for the VSAS 2005-2006 school year?   Want to give feedback, ask questions or hear about new ideas that are planned?  Join us for the Vision 2005-2006 seminars.
Middle school visioning:  April 25 (Monday evening)
Elementary school visioning: April 27 (Wednesday evening)
Mark your calendars now.  Watch the InfoFlo for more information on meeting time and details on the evening program. Parents and community welcome.

Lost and Found, mostly Found:  Lots of jackets, sweaters, lunch boxes have been left here.  Please, please, come and retrieve your child’s belongings from the Multi-purpose Room.  In two weeks, it’s all going to the Cooper Center.  There are some good clothing there!! Don’t miss out.  Peggy

More on Recycling:  We recently received a check for $1000.00 and a recycled glass plaque because Scott Pruitt (Nash’s Dad) did a pre-recycle before the current program began.  This contest was only for schools and we won 6th place!  All thanks to Scott.

Inserts: Past due lunch and bus bills, Reenrollment forms, April lunch menu, Info for 5th grade.
