Welcome! To our two new helpers – Courtney Larson who will be the Classroom Assistant in Kindergarten and Tia Simmons, our new lunchroom and recess aide.  Glad to have you.

Call for Recycled items
:  Mrs. Morrison wants you to save: Old telephone books (to press ferns to make cards), small jelly jars or artichoke-heart jars (to make “snow” globes), dainty teacups (chipped okay) to make teacup candles for Mother’s day, and scrap material (to make wall hanging).  Every writing project concludes with Art or craft made from recycled materials.  Mahalo nui, Mrs. Morrison.

Attention Middle School Music Students and Parents:  We will be performing Nov 17 at 4:00 pm at the Koa Room in the  KMC Headquarters building. .  This is in honor of their 89th birthday.  The children can ride in the van after school and be picked up at the Koa Room or school at 5 pm.  Pizza and bowling will be provided.  I still need a chaperone and permission slips.  Parents are invited. Note: Park entrance fees may apply.  KMC is located about one mile beyond the Park visitor’s Center.  Turn right at the KMC theatre sign or at the flagpole.   Mahalo , Ms. Quincey

Middle School Performance:  Make sure you mark your calendar for Dec. 8th, 6 pm… Kilauea Theatre…Middle School Theatre Night.  Come prepared to laugh, laugh, laugh.

4th Grade Gift Basket:  The theme for the fundraising raffle is “Mystical Creatures and Magic.”  We are excitedly awaiting donations.  This is the week to brainstorm at home and cook up some magical items for our out-of-this-world basket to be.

Fourth Grade Fundraiser: We would also like to announce another worthy and fantastic fundraising cause we are embarking on.  We are taking orders for 4 CDs that we are selling.  The first two CDs are to raise money for Hurricane victims and the second 2 CDs are to raise money for the 4th grade.  Stay tuned for more details.
