Dear Parents:  We would like to elicit your support to get the Info flo envelopes back here to the office.  This week a full 35% have not been returned. Items such as grades, (going out this week,) reminds us that confidentiality is important  Please remove all inserts and return envelopes to school by Thursday of the same week, as stated on the envelope. Thank you for your help.

Board Election : It is time again for our School Board Election.  We are looking for 5 new Parent Representatives for our School Board.  Are you willing to devote time to 2 meetings a month and would you like to be more involved in the process of decisions made regarding the school?…if so, we would like to hear from you! If you are interested in filling this space or would like to nominate someone, please contact Kathy Brooks at 989-6826 or by email at Kathy.brooks@auttori.com before March 24, 2006 for more information.  The election of our Parent Representatives will be held by ballots through the Info Flo on Tuesday, April 4th.

 Gemini Starlab in Volcano
Volcano School
and KOEC are partnering to bring Gemini Starlab to Volcano.  Our students will enjoy age-appropriate presentations on March 16 and 17.  Then, there will be 2 shows open to the community in the evening on Friday, March 17th at 5:30 and 6:30 pm.  The topic of all Starlab presentations will be “Northern Constellations and connections to Polynesian Navigation”
as a follow-up to our recent afterschool sailing program. A maximum of 30 persons can be accommodated in each 45 minute presentation.  See flyer insert for more info.  Questions, contact Kalima Cayir at 985-8727.

Art After School with Paul Lackner
Reminder – Class meets this Wednesday 1:00 – 3:30 in Mr. L’s room.  Stay for 1 hour or the entire session.  An extra session will be added due to cancellation of 1st class.  Cost is $60 which includes materials for 4 weeks.  As always, scholarships are available.  Contact Kalima 985-8727 for more info.

Polynesian Fire Twirling
