Painting:  Thanks to Tracy Desmond (parent) and Cindy (custodian) we now have the primer mostly completed on the new buildings.  Thank you Tracy,  I don’t know what we would have done if it weren’t for you!  Can still use more volunteers to get the project finished.  Call Cindy at 967-7635.

4th Grade Parents:  During the month of April, our 4th graders will be participating in swimming lessons on Mondays and Wednesdays.  Please send them to school with a bathing suit, towel, and a bag lunch (we will not make it back to school in time for the school lunch).  This schedule began April 3rd, the first Monday back from spring vacation, so mark your calendars.  UPDATE: NO SWIMMING WEEK NEXT WEEK (Apr. 11 and 13.)

Fencing classes:   Ben Blakemore will be teaching a beginning fencing class for men, women, boys and girls from 8 years of age and up.  Classes start Wednesday, April 5, 2006, 4:30 - 5:30 pm.  Classes will be held in the covered court at the Cooper Center for 10 weeks.  A donation of $50 to the Big Island Fencers Association is recommended to support the purchase of equipment for future classes and club events.  For information on ordering equipment and signing up for the class, call Ben at (808) 985-9029.

Attention Kau Parents: The Kau Charter School group is meeting this Thursday, April 6 at 6:30 pm in the Discovery Harbor Community Center.  New developments include a possible school site and forming a nonprofit.  All are welcome to attend.
