events.
They will come to you on Tuesday and we would like to have them signed
and

have more than one student here, the envelope will go with a designated
sibling.Please impress
upon your student that you are depending on him/her
to be responsible for delivering information to you from the school and
returning the envelope to us for re-use. Accident
Insurance:In
years past we were able to provide accident insurance at a very low
rate, but
it is no longer available.Efforts to
find some sort of group policy have failed.More on this later as we learn about liability issues.

Meets AYP Again: Each year schools
must meet Adequate Yearly Progress or AYP, based on Hawaii State
Assessment
scores. Students in grades 3 through eight are tested in reading and
mathematics every spring as required by the federal No Child Left
Behind Act
(NCLB). VolcanoSchool of Arts and
Sciences met the
proficiency goals for 2006 as the only school in Puna or Ka’u to meet
the AYP
goals. Hooray for our students and teachers! Inserts:Past
