In the photo to the left, the door next to the bench is a small utility closet, and the windows over the bench, as well as the small side window, belong to the bedroom. The black wainscotting lining the outer walls, also highlighted in a photo below, is lava crust that we took from a flow in Kalapana.
Photos below show recent updates to The Maid's Quarters. On the left, showing a view from the inside looking out, you can see that Todd has tiled the back porch with slate and turned the strange concrete hump into an outdoor barbecue. Below right, you'll notice a new green paintjob, also by the multi-talented Todd.
